The 30-share benchmark index ended at 78493.54 up by 504.86 points or by 0.65 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24353.55 up by 156.8 points or by 0.65 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78553.45 and intraday low of 77726.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24371.9 and intraday low of 24096.05
