Benchmark indices Nifty50 and Sensex continued their upward momentum, led by strength in FMCG and oil & gas counters.

At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 78382.54 up by 393.86 points or by 0.51 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24324.65 up by 127.9 points or by 0.53 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78415.82 and intraday low of 77726.23 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24327.1 and intraday low of 24096.05

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2237.00,+4.56%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 318.15,+1.89%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1574.50,+1.62%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 307.60,+1.37%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 384.45,+1.33%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1673.00,-1.19%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1434.00,-1.15%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1310.85,-0.61%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3202.00,-0.60%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4098.05,-0.47%), among others.
