At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 78051.18 up by 485.02 points or by 0.63 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24235.45 up by 207.4 points or by 0.86 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78526.25 and intraday low of 77745.47 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24303.8 and intraday low of 24079.95
