Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty climbed sharply in on Wednesday, building on the previous day’s rally, buoyed by optimism over the India–EU FTA.
At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82261.42 up by 403.94 points or by 0.49 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25281.7 up by 106.3 points or by 0.42 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 82503.97 and intraday low of 81887.93 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25372.1 and intraday low of 25225.7
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 259.90,+2.16%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 352.00,+1.98%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1339.25,+1.89%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 257.40,+1.52%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 927.95,+1.42%), among others.
