At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79439.17 up by 885.97 points or by 1.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24146.4 up by 294.75 points or by 1.24 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 79635.05 and intraday low of 78776.06 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24189.55 and intraday low of 23903.65
