Indian stock markets opened higher on Friday, buoyed by the US decision to pause tariffs for most countries—excluding China, which will face a 145% tariff rate.

At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74227.08 up by 1089.18 points or by 1.49 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22399.15 down by -136.7 points or by -0.61 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 74859.39 and intraday low of 73424.92 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22468.7 and intraday low of 22353.25

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2344.50,+3.04%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2349.45,+2.63%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3175.20,+1.66%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 293.30,+1.56%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11393.05,+1.03%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were State Bank of India (Rs. 742.05,-3.43%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1272.20,-3.25%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3059.10,-3.23%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 127.20,-2.30%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1652.10,-2.17%), among others.
