Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), a leading emerging markets FMCG company, has been ranked No.1 globally in the FMCG category on the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Sustainability Index 2025, marking the first time the company has secured the top position on the globally recognised sustainability benchmark.
GCPL achieved a score of 89 out of 100 in the Personal Products category in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), which evaluated more than 3,500 companies worldwide. The score places the company among the top global consumer goods firms in terms of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
The ranking reflects GCPL’s steady progress across key sustainability priorities. Within the FMCG sector, the index evaluates companies on a wide range of criteria including emissions reduction, sustainable sourcing of raw materials, product lifecycle management, packaging and waste management, water stewardship, and labour practices.
In addition to the top ranking, S&P Global also recognised GCPL for completing 10 years of participation in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment. This milestone highlights the company’s decade-long commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and integrating sustainability into its core business strategy.
