Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services and consulting, has launched its seventh Gemini Experience Center (GEC) at its Innovation Hub in Troy, Michigan, in partnership with Google Cloud. The new center will focus on developing advanced Physical AI solutions tailored for the manufacturing sector.
The launch marks a key milestone in the global expansion of TCS’ Gemini Experience Centers. By the end of 2026, TCS and Google Cloud plan to operate 13 centers worldwide, with six more scheduled to open this year. These centers aim to help enterprises transition from limited AI pilot projects to large-scale, production-ready AI transformation.
The Troy-based Physical AI GEC will enable manufacturers to design, test, and scale AI-powered solutions to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The facility features the TCS Physical AI Blueprint — an integrated framework combining AI-enabled quadruped and humanoid robotics, advanced sensors, edge intelligence, and secure cloud systems to deliver real-time operational insights and autonomous decision-making.
Key applications include autonomous patrolling and surveillance, detection of environmental anomalies, monitoring of personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, intelligent quality inspection, progress tracking, and predictive equipment health monitoring.
President – Manufacturing Anupam Singhal said Physical AI brings intelligence directly into real-world industrial environments, enabling safer and more efficient operations. He emphasized that the human-in-the-loop approach ensures AI systems work alongside employees to improve resilience and workplace safety while building adaptive, future-ready industrial ecosystems.
Saurabh Tiwary, Vice President and General Manager – Cloud AI at Google Cloud, said the collaboration focuses on accelerating deployment of advanced AI solutions that deliver tangible value to industrial operations. He noted that the new center will help manufacturers build autonomous, resilient, and data-driven enterprises using Google Cloud technologies.
The Troy facility strengthens TCS’ global innovation network and aligns with its strategy to collaborate with hyperscalers to support enterprises in adopting next-generation AI technologies. Through demonstrations and interactive workshops, the center will help businesses accelerate end-to-end AI adoption, modernize enterprise platforms, and enable autonomous industrial operations.
TCS has already established six Gemini Experience Centers in Bengaluru, New York, Chennai, Riyadh, Singapore, and Sao Paulo as part of its Pace innovation network connecting startups, academic institutions, and enterprise customers.
The company has also expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to enhance customer access to Gemini Enterprise solutions and enable development of custom AI agents integrated with pre-built and third-party tools, helping organizations improve efficiency and accelerate innovation.
