The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Friday said it has approved 22 proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), involving a projected investment of Rs 41,863 crore and estimated production of Rs 2,58,152 crore.
The approved proposals include applications from Dixon Technologies, Samsung Display Noida Pvt Ltd, Foxconn (Yuzhan Technology India Pvt Ltd), and Hindalco Industries, among others.
According to the ministry, these approvals are expected to generate 33,791 direct employment opportunities, providing a significant boost to domestic electronics manufacturing and the component ecosystem in India.
