Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has won a Rs 15.06-crore contract from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to install, test, and commission ballast-less track systems across key corridors in the National Capital Region, the company announced on Monday.
Ballast-less tracks use a rigid concrete or asphalt slab instead of traditional crushed stone ballast, offering enhanced stability, durability, and reduced maintenance.
The project spans 5.8 km across multiple locations, including Saket-G station on Line 11, Sarita Vihar Depot on Line 10, and Noida Electronic City station on Line 3. Work is scheduled to commence on December 1, with completion expected within 12 months, in line with DMRC’s safety and quality requirements.
