State-run engineering major Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received a Notification of Award (NoA) from NTPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, for the EPC package of the 1x800 MW Darlipali Supercritical Thermal Power Project (Stage-II) in Sundargarh district, Odisha.
The contract, valued at over Rs 6,650 crore (excluding GST), was awarded through international competitive bidding. It encompasses the design, engineering, supply, erection, commissioning, and civil works for the project.
According to the company, the completion of facilities (COF) is scheduled within 48 months from the date of the notification of award.
Both BHEL and NTPC are Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Government of India, and the order does not fall under related party transactions.
