Indian equity markets were trading higher on Friday, December 5, after the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), led by RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, reduced the repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.25 per cent.
At 14:25 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85643.21 up by 377.89 points or by 0.44 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26155.85 up by 122.1 points or by 0.47 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 85796.72 and intraday low of 85078.12 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26202.6 and intraday low of 25985.35
