Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty bounced back from early losses to close modestly higher on Friday, as investors resumed buying in select blue-chip stocks available at attractive, beaten-down levels.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 84562.78 up by 84.11 points or by 0.1 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25910.05 up by 30.9 points or by 0.12 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 84697.87 and intraday low of 84029.32 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25940.2 and intraday low of 25740.8

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 303.55,+1.97%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1242.75,+1.46%), State Bank of India (Rs. 967.35,+1.34%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1018.20,+1.30%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1756.40,+1.19%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1502.50,-2.58%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 847.85,-1.79%), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (Rs. 391.60,-1.62%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 174.15,-1.39%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1371.90,-1.01%), among others.
